Happy Holidays

Sorry, for the long delay in updates…now that work is not so busy and my class is over, I should have time for updates on Dani.  To be quite honest, she has me frazzled and frustrated.   Dani is on a continuous feed that will last 10 hours and she is getting Erythromycin 3 times a day.  Despite everyone’s efforts she will still throw up here and there.   No patterns, no consistency, it is just when she feels like it.  And at times, if she doesn’t throw up, she gets bubbly and gaggy likes she needs to throw up.  The only positive side of her continuous feed is that she does not scream when being fed.  She started crying out again.  She goes back to the GI doctor in January, so we will see what path we go down then.

Last weekend, we celebrated an Early Christmas due to Dani not able to travel for the holidays.  Even in her own home, she had to go back to her room for R&R when she would get too worked up.   Dani was fast asleep when it came time to open presents, but her sisters and cousins stepped up to the plate and opened her presents!  Abby was the best, she couldn’t wait for “Uncle Dan to get home so she could open up her chair!”  We got her a Dora the Explorer recliner and she could tell what it was, because according to Abby, “it sits like a chair.”   She was not so happy when the Tank sat in the chair before she was done unwrapping it!

If I don’t get a posting in before, have a Merry Christmas!
